Intake Year Links
Missing Email addresses
As
this page was getting cumbersome to maintain, and keep accurate, because of
the volume of people signing the Guestbook, I have been looking for a way to
semi-automate the creation of web pages. The result of this is the use of a
database, where I can generate a series of Web pages, all linked to one another.
So, the quick link Years below will now take you to a new page for that Intake
year, instead of jumping down this page to it.
Within these pages you will see Links that look like this:
First
Previous Next Last
They are fairly self explanatory, but as an example, if you click 82
below you will be taken to the Intake Register of all people who have signed
stating 1982 was their First year at BPCS. Using the Previous
and Next links would take you to 1981 and
1983 respectively. Using First will take
you to 1955 (*Note* 55 to 58 are included for those who joined Binley in its
first year - 1959 - after already completing one or two Senior years) and Last
will take you to the final BPCS Intake year of 1985.
By using a Database, I can now easily display more information on the Register,
and so they display thus:
GB signing number, Name (Maiden Name), Email, House, Signing Date.
Each Email address is a Hyperlink. It can be used to automatically open your email program with the 'To:' field pre-filled. *Note* For those of you who use Internet email accounts such as Hotmail or Yahoo, click over the email address with your right button, and use the pop-up menu 'Copy shortcut' item. In your email To: field, use right mouse button pop-up 'Paste' and make sure you remove the 'mailto:' part of the text inserted.
There may be errors in email address or Intake year for example, if your entry is incorrect, please contact me.
Teachers will remain on this page, as will the Statistics.
A special note
about Ron Banks and his Daughter Joanne Patel (Banks).
Ron was one of the first intake to Binley in 1959, whilst his daughter Joanne,
was in the last intake of 1985, and saw the closure of Binley Park in 1990.
This is probably unique amongst pupils.
If you object to your name appearing here, please let me know.
If your name isn't here, please sign the Guestbook and I'll add it.
Intake years - Click a year to load the page, use the Back button in your browser
to come back here. *Note* - As entries increase, years will spread to more than
one page. Use the Next Link on these pages to see
further 'same year' entries.

Several people sign more than once adding comments about Binley, the website
etc. I encourage you to use the Message Boards for this purpose. See the Navigator
to use them.

Items struck through are not in use with the new design, and are under review.
Each name is a mail link (where possible) simply click it to open a mail window and send a message to that person. (Works with Offline Email programs such as Outlook, Eudora and Netscape Messenger. Please Note, not all programs are compatible with this. Alternatively, use your right mouse button over the name and use the pop-up menu option to copy the link, then go to your email program and use right mouse Paste in the 'TO' box, remember to remove the 'Mailto:' portion.
