Here are a selection of comments from Teachers who have contacted me:
| Teacher | Comments |
| Leslie Turner | Just
to say that I've had my first wander around the site. I am very impressed
indeed. I spotted one or two bits I'd want to comment on - and maybe I can
try to answer one or two queries - so I'll return to it again when I've
got a good time-slot available. Thank you very much for giving so much time to a project which is amusing, interesting, provocative, colourful and addictive. |
| Alan Huitson | I
heard about the site from Karen Latchem whose husband was at Binley and who I think, is a friend of yours. I am in regular touch with two or three ex Binley teachers so I'll let them know about the site |
| Alan Blackburn | Thank-you
for your web site. I think you must be the "little" brother of
Julie who was in my House and you would have been in my House in September
1971. We moved to Nottingham in the Easter of 1971 and I became Head of a school in Derbyshire in 1976, But we are still in the house we moved to in 71. |
| Gerald Haigh | I had the site address from Jim Ravenhill at Coundon Court. Jim was head of Constantine for a part of my time in Cheshire. A super guy, with a real feel for kids -- a natural in every way. |
| Pete Hillier | I'm fine. The boots were brown I think.Went to Manchester and worked in animation for eleven years (Dangermouse, Victor and Hugo and loads of other stuff) now a graphic designer and animator at the London Institute. The tie was a wedding present from Alan Huitson. |
| Di Sliwinski (Nee Saunders) | Many thanks for your messages. I am so thrilled that you have set up a website for Binley Park. I am reminded so often in various ways of my years at the school. Most of my memories are happy ones and I have much to be thankful for in all kinds of ways. |
| Lesley Ryan (Nee Wright) | I have visited the Binley Park web-site several times, so I thought it was about time I signed the visitors book. I am very impressed. |
| Gary Eagleson | Congratulations on your "website". I found it very enjoyable to reflect on the relavent info that I found on the site. |
| Eddie Jones | I
was Head of Music between 1981 and 1985. By colleague was Rose Butler. I
took over from Maurice Bale who retired. I enjoyed browsing through the site - it brought back a number of memories good and bad! |
| Mike Bailey |
I
would be grateful if you would correct the name under my picture. |
| David Hooley | It was only last night that I looked it up and signed in! Yes - I was Head of the English Department in the halcyon days of Rumble and Herne - and moved into teacher-training where I sayed for the next 31 years. Too many of my old colleagues seem now to be dead - but it was good while it lasted. |
| Dave Shapcott | I
was very impressed with the site and recognised a few old friends and pupils... By the way where did you get that photo? Was I ever that young and thin? I think, as my grandchildren would say, we'll leave the present image out of this. Thanks again for the site and for the e-mail. I shall dip in often and see who surfaces. With best wishes Dave |
| Delia Trenchard | I was a teacher at Binley Park from 1981 to 1986 and would love to get in touch with fellow teachers or my tutor group known as 3 fr. have not been able to do this on the web site any help would be great. |
